Hi. I was sitting on my patio this morning and I was able to take a photo of one of the humming birds that come to visit our home. They are such amazing creatures. I would like to challenge my followers to post one of their favorite photos of wildlife or their favorite pet. I am looking forward to seeing your photos.

Hi! I was able to catch some hot air balloons in north county San Diego right befor the sunset. I thought they were really beautiful so I thought I would share them with you!

I haven’t had a lot of time to take photos this week, so I thought I would share these butterfly photos from Hoof Beats and Foot Prints. I love butterflies!
Maryland was more than represented among the exotics at the “Wings of Fancy” exhibit at Brookside Gardens. These beauties can be found among gardens and natural areas in North America.
If one is lucky and discover a caterpillar in the garden, you could bring it in and feed it host plants to encourage it to go into the cocoon stage. Waiting patiently a butterfly is sure to emerge.

I went to visit the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, California this week. I had a great time with my husband and 2 year old son. I got some great pictures of marine life. I hope you enjoy them!

Hi. The Daily Post is asking us to post our photos that represent something creepy. I was at the San Diego Zoo yesterday and took a picture of this Tarantula. It’s pretty creepy to me!
I wanted to say hello to my followers and ask you a question. What animal or insect or whatever are you most afraid of? Daddy Long Leg spiders scare me a lot. I know they are not really harmful, but they are so creepy!

Hello. I am answering the Camera Lucida photo challenge with a photo with the theme “Journey”. Here is the link if you would like to participate. I chose to upload this picture of Thomas the Train that I took at “A Day out with Thomas” when I was there with my son. This photo reminds me of the journey I have had for almost 3 years with him. It has been a wonderful journey and I have learned a lot about myself and being a parent.
