In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Creepy.”

Hi. The Daily Post is asking us to post our photos that represent something creepy.  I was at the San Diego Zoo yesterday and took a picture of this Tarantula.  It’s pretty creepy to me!

I wanted to say hello to my followers and ask you a question.  What animal or insect or whatever are you most afraid of?  Daddy Long Leg spiders scare me a lot. I know they are not really harmful, but they are so creepy!

Have a great week!

Camera Lucida: Journey

Hello.  I am answering the Camera Lucida photo challenge with a photo with the theme “Journey”.  Here is the link if you would like to participate.  I chose to upload this picture of Thomas the Train that I took at “A Day out with Thomas” when I was there with my son.  This photo reminds me of the journey I have had for almost 3 years with him.  It has been a wonderful journey and I have learned a lot about myself and being a parent.  I hope you enjoy the photo and feel free to comment about your parenting experiences or any experience you have had with Thomas 🙂

I found this post from La Belle Estelle Photography. She talks about wining a contest with an iPhone photo. I was wondering what you all think about iPhone versus traditional digital photography. I know that I have taken pictures with both and sometimes I prefer the iPhone. I thought it might be fun to have a discussion about it. Let me know your thoughts.

I don’t always share my iphone photography because that’s not really the focus of this blog or website.  However, I am still a firm believer in the saying that the best camera is the one you have–I almost always have my phone!  So I take a lot of pictures with my phone.  There’s been a photo contest going on in Minnesota and I spent some time in that area and submitted my photo and was so surprised and thrilled to win the week ten prize!blue mn naturemn natureBrowse more photos from #MNnature.  And submit your own next time you’re in Itasca County!  You could be the next winner!  Contest ends Labor Day, 2015.

Sunset at the San Diego Zoo

Right now the San Diego Zoo has “Night Zoo” and it is open until 9pm.  I was there yesterday and took this picture of the sunset.  I thought it was cool because it showed the plant life at the zoo along with the Museum of Man at Balboa Park.  I hope you enjoy the photo!

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Beneath Your Feet.”

As I have a 2 year old son, I frequently trip over his toys :).  So, in response to the WordPress photo challenge this is what is beneath my feet most of the time 🙂  Hope you enjoy the picture.

Quote of the Day: Photography

Great quote about photography! I totally agree!

“Photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” – Elliott Erwitt
